JESUS Changes everything!

What separates peter from PETER, and you from YOU is JESUS!

Revelation Knowledge Folks! Holy Spirit putting things into perspective!

As I was studying today, I wanted to revisit a scripture that I heard in a prophetic video I listened to the day before. When I began to read the Lord revealed to me a whole other awesome revelation that didn’t pertain to the word I had heard from these specific scriptures the day before! But as the Word of the Lord is alive and active, sharper than any two edged sword, should I expect any less!?

OKAY Let’s get into this!

I was reading Acts 3:1-10

“3 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. 2 Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.”

After reading this I started thinking about the man Peter was in these verses, not just Peter but all of the disciples. Then I started to think about who I am in this moment, and who I’ve been.. When I thought about different points in scripture, where it seems to record the growth, and journey of all the disciples, the Holy Spirit just began to download so much revelation knowledge!

There were 5 different places in scripture He led me to, 6 if we include Acts 3. The first he led me to was Mathew 16:21-23. The very well know “Get behind me Satan!” Verse. What’s so crazy is that a couple verses back Jesus is praising Peter for his answer to one of Jesus’ questions, but here all of a sudden it’s “Get behind me Satan!” Peter was figuring out how to keep his eyes on things above, to think with his spirit and not his flesh. His flesh didn’t want Jesus to leave and be killed, his spirit would have told him these things must come to pass per my fathers plans. So God’s will for a savior of the world would come to pass. NEXT was Mathew 17:1-8 and Mark 5:37 Both are very different instances however in both Jesus singles out Peter, James, and John only to come with him, CHOSEN! They were part of certain things that the others (disciples) and really no one else was invited to be a part of, exclusive. Next, Mathew 14:28-33, Jesus walked on water and Peter asks to walk too. So much faith followed by fear and doubt creeping in... AND of course last but not least Luke 22:54-60 Peter denies Jesus as prophesied by Jesus. Peter denies Knowing Jesus and or being part of his crew/ disciples, not once, not even twice, BUT three times! Again all like Jesus said he would.

ALRIGHT, all that to say!!

Holy Spirit Began to reveal to me the difference in the Acts 3 Peter and the Peter at the other points in his journey of life. He then caused me to think about my own journey through life. Like Peter a life full of beginnings, choices to follow Jesus. Learning and being taught through: examples, miracles, teachings, and time spent with Jesus. Taking correction from the father, and learning from mistakes through grace and mercy. Realizing what real faith is and that when we take our eyes off of Jesus we see the waves and the winds in our life and begin to sink because we listen to lies from the devil..But when we fix our eyes on Him anything is possible!

You are chosen! Forgiven! You are special! God will use you! You have a destiny!

That brings us to the Acts 3 Peter and the Author of 1st and 2nd Peter! Such authority, such surety! Sold out, all in for King Jesus! Big faith, Healing people in the name of Jesus, preaching the gospel and literally crushing Hell for a living! Being God’s hands and feet, Being BOLD for Jesus! Kingdom builder, light in the darkness.

Like Peter and the disciples we all have a destiny! “for I know the plans I have for you says the lord plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope!” (Jeremiah 29:11) Not all our pasts are recorded, for everyone to see and or read about. But we should all see growth when we look back on our lives! Jesus didn’t pick 12 perfect people, he chose 12 men no body else would have picked. And when you look at the finish product, what they became through Christ, we see his awesome power!! We have all had times where we may have taken our eyes off God and considered the fears and lies of this world and the enemy. We have all visited our flesh from time to time, maybe some more often than others… We are all as Christ followers growing, learning, and changing forever! God sees you and talks to you as if you are the end result “you” because he has already gone before us he knows who we will become!

So, From peter to PETER and from you to YOU, all that’s in the middle is Jesus! Jesus Changes everything!! Keep seeking him and he will reveal more and more!

BE BLESSED!
